Does anyone carry the Military in SV30?

How do you like it? Does it carry in the pocket well?

Was thinking about getting a black-blade from New Graham.

Thanks in advance.

I love it, it's one of my all time favorite knives. It's big but so slim you hardly notice it's in your pocket. Do a search on "Military" in the knife reviews forum and you'll find plenty to read.

I carry my Spyderco "Military" on special occasions. I have the S30V combo edge version and wouldn't trade it for anything in it's class. The G-10 handle has great leverage and fits my hand like a glove. I don't see how any 4 inch blade can beat it. The S30V version is the one I highly recommend. I wish they would also make a Micarta version as well. Happy New Year you all!!!

I EDC an "Ol' Skool" Millie in ATS-34. Does everything I ask of it & more.
With a superior steel, I can imagine it to be even better.

i only carry mine when wearing carhartts, so that i can put it in the right thigh pocket. though it rides okay in jeans, i seem to carry so much stuff in my right pocket that i prefer my native. oh, and the blade forward leaves less room to get in the pocket, the hump gets in the way.

this said, i do really like the knife. i have an s30v black blade combo before they were "official". my only complaint, however minor it may be, is that i wish the handle was about 3/4 of an inch shorter. i don't have the largest paws and the extra inch seems to much. but, i still would not get rid of it. the blade coating has held up very well by the way.

It is my EDC now. I have the black plain S30V. Sharpened it with the Lansky and the black coating holds great in the aluminium vice of Lansky system. No single scratch.

The only complain is the tip down clip. I must be carefull when taking something off from my pocket or the tang can hurt me.

i had it, both the 440v and the s30v. it was a great knife and handled and carried like a dream. sold it recently because i needed the money and found the blade to be unsuitable to reflect light because of its sheer size. i'm thinking of someday buying it again, but then the black version for a more sheeple-friendly (non-)appearance.

the Mili S30V is great. get it and you won't be disappointed.

I have a S30V Military and Para Military.
They both carry easily in your pocket.
However, I carry the Para more than the Mili. For the simple reason, I don't need a 4" blade. I find the 3" plus blade in the Para more useable, but that is me. I am a small person.
Good luck!
