..so anyways I just got a 110 for the first time (applause). First off I'd like to say, the fit and finish on this knife is top notch. Second, what a solid, solid lock-up, and overall feel. Easily one of the best "bang for your ..ah..buck" knives around.

My question is, can I pt Militec in the pivot, as it is a bit gritty right now.

You should use compressed air to blow any dirt out that you can, but what I like to do is use a paper towel to get all the grime out that I can. Then I take Mili-1 and apply it and work it in. After a while it works out some of the crap and you can wipe it(junk) out again. Right after you apply it you should look like this in the mirror :D from how smooth it makes things.

I like to use the toothpick from my SAK, depress the locking lever, and scrape out any grime in the 'hammer'. As Powells said, use paper towels. I fold one and use a sturdy corner and wipe the contact areas well. It works great. You'll have to lubricate it after, of course.s

the lubricant will float the particles out of the pivot if you keep working it. Just added some to my 110 - works great.

I like to use a citrus based arosol solvent and compressed air. It usually takes a couple of applications and some opening and closing. A couple drops of oil on the moving parts afterwards and your done.
