although i don't use my knife for this often, occasionaly i cut some food with my knife. I lubed it up with militec-1 and was wondering if it was a bad idea to cut food with it now. Of course there isnt any on the blade surface but the little amount by the tang could spread out onto the blade or touch some food while im cutting.

even if it is toxic, how much would make u sick, im sure if any has touched my food it is an incredibly small amount.

thanks for your input.

While Militec-1 cautions against consuming their product directly, they say that once the carriers have evaporated, a treated blade is safe for food use.

Remember, a blade treated with Militec-1 will "dry" out within a few hours. But, the lubricant components remain bonded to the surface. That bond is apparently quite strong.
