Mill/Lathe

Drop Point, I use a Emco Unimat 3 micro lath/mill and it was the one piece of equipment that improved my knife making abilities the most when compared to when I added the grinder and band saw. The Unimat 3 is a light duty machine and is not made any more. This little machine is great for slotting guards, milling lock notches, turning blade piviots, drilling holes in small round spacers, jeweling liners, and more. The Unimat is very accurate and easy to use. Emco makes a Compact 5 which is awesome piece of machinery, kinda exspensive . The Sherline vertical milling machines (made in the USA) are wourth looking at. The tooling available for the sherline is less exspensive than for the Unimats. Blue Ridge Machinery and Tools 1-800-872-6500 carries Sherline and Emco machinery. Good luck--Ray--
