Millie 2 in carbon/s90v or g10/15v?

The carbon fiber s90v is tough to beat!! That being said, You can’t go wrong whichever you choose !

I’d go with the 15v.

It’s unique and the steel is interesting. Being carbon it’s probably a little tougher than the stainless.

Plus it’s tan. Who doesn’t love tan?

If you are ok with 15V being non-stainless, get that. There are hundreds of S90V knives out there and have been for years. Get the 15V while it is still available and not on the secondary market. Who knows if it'll be a regular thing for years to come vs if we won't see more again for awhile.

I’ve been struggling not getting the 15v vs crucarta.
Between the two your struggle bussing with, I like the 15v better.

I have a PM2 and military 2 in 15v.

In my experience 15v is as good, if not better than, S90V in regard to abrasion resistance/edge retention. It also seems like s90v will chip in situations that the BBB heat treated 15v does not. I'm sure the dialed in heat treat used on the 15v makes a big difference.

In my opinion, the only advantage of S90V is its corrosion resistance. It definitely beats out 15v there.

This is a sample size of one so take it with a grain of salt.

I’ve had both types, and each has its perks. The carbon/S90V setup is great if you want something that holds an edge for a long time and looks pretty slick. It’s a bit more high-end, though, and you’re paying for that. The G10/15V is a solid choice too—cheaper but still super tough and performs well. I personally lean toward the S90V for the edge retention, but if you’re just after a dependable, durable knife without breaking the bank, the G10/15V will do the job just as well.

Thanks for all the input folks. I'm still flip-flopping but I think I'm a little closer to a decision.

el gigantor el gigantor ,
They are both really nice knives! With S90V you get better corrosion protection, and 15V will stay sharper longer (even better than S90V). For very humid areas, S90V might be the better choice if you plan to carry it often. You can't go wrong with either knife!

So I went with the 15V variant. It'll be my first experience with that steel, plus it was $80CAD less expensive than the alternative. Should be here early next week!
Congrats! I just got mine after a crazy ride around the country via USPS!!

15v is a neater steel imho, but both are cool.

I’ve always had a preference for carbon steel, so there’s that.

I bought the 15v version and it’s super nice. Carbon fiber doesn’t really do a whole lot for me, but I’m a steel snob, not a handle material snob. So there’s that (I.e. you can have your own things that “do it” for you.)
