I've been going back and forth about getting a 204p millie from KW for about a month. I don't collect millies and I don't need another 1.

I have a cruwear millie that I like a lot. Easy to sharpen and holds a good edge and is a tough steel.

Guys that have Both a cruwear and a 204p millie which 1 do you like best and why.

If the 204p didn't have all the new improvements would you still like it better than cruwear.

I always keep my knives sharp so sharpening 204p probably be more than a touch up not sharpening. I know that 204p holds an edge longer than cruwear.

Thanks.

Not a steel expert by any means but I just sold my cruware Millie when I got the 204p. I'm HVAC by trade and the 204 has been outstanding in the torture test of steels I put my knives through. Wire insulation, duct board, wire cutting, zip ties, metal tape, boxes, hose and even some PVC it has held up outstanding. More so than dare I say my 110v manix that chipped the first time I used it cutting a clamshell package open.
The cruware performed solidly but seemed to need sharping sooner and corrosion became a problem. But in all honesty I think one of the biggest reasons I got rid of the cruware was those light grey handles. Damn they got dirty fast. 204p is now one of my go to steels along with elmax and my favorite 3v..Man I hope Spyderco makes a Millie in that..
Hope this helps some..

Ive got both. And I say 204P!
Never had a better Millie ever....
204P shines like a beacon in the night on the new Millie.
I like it even better than my Sprint Millie in 52100.
Not to mention the action is just pure silk.....
Yeah.....that KW Exclusive 204P is the one imho...

I really like my cruwear. I have other knives in 204p, but not the millie yet. I find cruwear to be better than most people seem to think it is. Go figure.

I can't believe they did the Cruwear Sprint Run in the old style Millie. Would LOVE see one in the new version.

I do like 204p on my Domino and Southard... nice to have the clean stainless with the bearings.
But for the Military I don't really desire anything other than my Cruwear so far.
I got the 52100 Military, so I am familiar with the CQI updates, and while they are nice subtle changes, they aren't a noticeable deal breaker for me.
My example of the Cruwear never left me wanting much else out of the model.
I do like the grey G10 as well, shows its individual character the more you use it.
