kicked the mini mill head 30 degrees off verticaland made the cut with the side of the mill then used a a dremel to round out the ends alittle more and to get rid of most the milling marks before starting hand sanding the fullers

i have more hand sanding to do but there getting closer i think im going to get the fullers as close as i can to finished before heat treat that way post heat treat will not take long and then i can flatten the sides leaving nice crisp lines around the fullers
if i had the $$$ and time i would have spent the big bucks on an 7/8 ball end mill bit

I'd file the corners square and then just break the inside corner with a round needle file to avoid the sharp 90-degree angle.

there not getting heat treated till i get the quench plates so i can wait a bit ot find out more
also i have more hand sanding the fullers to do
i just didnt want to be too safe and have much grinding after heat treat or maybe mill it square and have a blade that lost the tang :barf:
hoping to hear about how inbetween i should be to save myself some grief
btw there cpm145 if that means anything about how prone to stress it might be
