I'm going to be at a conference next week in Milwaukee, WI. I'd love to hit some outdoor shops and especially some good cutlery stores that may be in the city are within an hours drive of the city.

I'm interested in outdoor knives, such as Fallkniven, Bark River, Buck Kaala etc.

Any suggested locations I should visit?

Good restaraunt and microbrewery advice wouldn't hurt either!

Ah, come on folks - I'm leaving tommorrow morning and want to get at least a couple of places on my list.

There must be something worth going to in Wisconsin.......

Bumping up - once more while I'm packing.

Is it because WI was the first state to allow women to vote?

They must have something intriguing. BTW - the confernece program has 'great churches of Milwaukee' as one of its edutainment outings. Uhmm - I'd rather find a knife shop.....

Please help me - at least give me Laverne & Shirley's phone number...Maybe Squiggy knows where to get some automatic folders....

Let’s see if we can find the right forum …

The only place I could think of is The Shooters Shop.

Check out the Milwaukee Art Museum near the shore of Lake Michigan. The new expansion was designed by Santiago Calatrava. Pretty cool architecture.

A good coffee shop, just up the road from the museum, is Alterra.

There is plenty to see and do in MKE.

Hey

Shooters shop is pretty much the only place your going to find the kind of knives you would were talking about.

The Ale House on water street is a great microbrewery/pub
So is Rock Bottom Cafe, (can't remember exactly which street its on,I live near, not in Milwaukee)

+1 for the Art Museum
