Hello! First post...Anyway just purchased MMKW chute knife. Man! Talk about heavy duty. 1/4 inch thick(quotes 3/16 but mines a full 1/4), 5160, I got the natural micarta scales. Bead blasted finish. Not fancy but what I wanted. Heavy! This thing looks and feels indestructible..Kydex sheath..sucks.. these guys build good knives but I'm gonna have to get, or use, another sheath. Not sharp at all when I received it. I had known that they generally sharpen to a "working edge" but as I am gonna use it as a general purpose knife and hunting knife, I specifically asked that it be ground razor sharp. Didn't happen..but a little while with a diamond hone and all is well.

Any comments or experience with MMKW? I would probably buy from them again if I am in need of any of their offerings. Haven't really tested the knife yet but I hear their heat treat is good and I am expecting good service from the knife.

Hope I posted this in the right forum...don't want to get off to a bad start.

I dont have any experience with the Chute knife, but I have to admit I've been eyeing it for a long time

If you want a smaller knife that is truly heavy-duty then you can't go wrong. On the other hand, some might question if a small knife needs to be that heavy. Haven't weighed it, don't have a scale, but it is one solid piece of steel.

Oh. And thanks for the welcome!
