Hi,
I was wondering if anyone could expound on the relative merits of each?
Reviewing the archives I can find several reviews of the White River Bowie, but not the Survival Bowie.
I am looking at getting one or the other in the 15" model. I understand that the Survival one is built more for chopping, which would be what I want, but with the false edge running along the back it looks like it would be lighter than the White River which seems to be the full 1/4 inch thickness along the back. So is it really a good chopper or is the White River better cause it has a slight weight advantage??
In several reviews people have said the White River chops well, but I have never read of anyone who owns the Survival model saying how it does. Apparently the company does not check the weight.
Any help would be appreciated.
