Mineral Oil as lotion?

Okay, I'm in a bit of a predicament. After work today the side of my nose was super dry, feels like it's going to split. Right at the crease, ya know.

I don't use lotion, pretty much ever, and just moved and have no access to any and am thinking of household items I have on hand that will suffice. I put it off until every store is closed, and I'm about to pass out from exhaustion.

So, convince me what I can slap on my face before bed. I of course have mineral oil in a large bottle on hand, for my knives :D

Vasoline, mineral oil, glycerin, baby oil, or maybe skin lotion left over from a hotel stay.

Mineral oil is neutral and effective, and IS baby oil (without the scent). Go for it. I've used it around the tips of my fingers and cuticles after gardening. Also around nose and brow chapped by winter weather.

really? i didn't know they were the same.

anyone ever drank either for pooping related difficulties?

Modern lotions may do a number of things ,much more effective than oil. Originally they were things like mineral oil or lanolin . Later they added nutrients and now they've also added healing agents. The one I use has vitamin E and aloe vera as active ingredients. Both are noted for effectiveness in treating burns and they offer healing properties.
