I would like to know more about this little knife. It measures only 2 1/4" closed. The can opener and bottle opener blades look to be too small to be functional; although I did not try to use them. Are the scales celluloid? There is no name on it so I don't know the manufacturer....could it have been a "salesman sample" because of its small size? There is a unused set of holes in the scales on one end; would a loop have been used mounted in the "plastic"? Anything else the viewers could offer is welcomed and appreciated, thanks!

Interessting design :)

What it written on the tang stamp? This could help to find out the cutlery that made this nice little knife.

The handles could be actually celluloid, but also acrylic could be possible.

It looks as if a bail was attached on one end, and that it has solid bolsters; other than that I can't add a thing (but it does look pre-WW-II). OH

I'm with OH, there was probably a bail on the end. In case your interested Rough Rider makes an identical copy of this knife for just a few dollars (2 1/4 inches and all), might be worth a look for the fun of it!

Thanks, I took a look at the RR knife you reference. Its size and blade placement is the same, but it doesn't have the bail. They call their knife the Mini Scout. I went to EBay and searched Mini Scout and saw what was available and what has been sold. None were exactly like it. A few had the blade placement different or only had one blade and those that had a bail had it attached to the bolster and not in the handle material. I did another check for a name and I am sure there isn't any on the blades. The shield MAY have had SCOUT or something on it but it is long gone to wear. Thanks again, keep the comments coming!
