Mini AFCK-Tanto

I was currious as to if anyone knows anything about this knife. It has the round hole, combo edge, black blade, and a tanto tip. It's got a grind similar to a stryker. The place I bought it from stated it was the knife of the month back in June of 2000. (they also said it is bm's biggest knife too). I have never seen one like it before and figure it's some what rare. Anyone know how many were made, and if they offered a full sized version?

I previousy owned the same model of knife. I believe there were between 200-600 made, for the "knife of the month" run. As far as the full sized AFCK tanto, there were 135 made, and, if I can recall, it was a special run for either a company of a branch of the service. I'm sure a member with more BM info will chime in.

Thanks, man. -Love to find one of those full-sized models, but it doesn't sound like I will any time soon.
 
The KOTM series was a limited run of 1000 for each month.

The full size tanto was a run of prototypes all marked 1/135. I forget the story on them though. But i have one so thats all that matters, and no its not for sale.

You may be able to pick one up on E-bay, i have seen about 10 of them on there in the past 2 years, and thats where i scored mine.

Would you mind posting a picture of yours, if you could? I have yet to actually see what one of the full-sized Tanto AFCK's looks like. I just wish I hadn't traded away my KOTM tanto mini AFCK. Thank you.

well a few yrs ago i almost swapped for a full size AFCK tanto (i used to collect AFCKs) but till today had no idea they were that rare, or that they even made a mini AFCK tanto, hadnt heard of those at all, and its the rare one, go figure.

seems like i remember at least one other one for sale too, probably on BF IIRC(the full size one).

been a few yrs though.
