Did they ever make the afck mini with the axis lock? I love the entire package of the afck, it's just a bit large for me. Figured I'd ask.

I just ran a few searches, and yes, Happy New Year. Don't think BKC ever made an Axis version.

They made a mini of the original liner lock version and you still see them pop up from time to time on ebay and here on the exchange. My buddy has one and its a great knife. They never made an AXIS version though, at least not yet. keep in mind these knives are like 15 years old.

There's also the HD version of the Pika with G-10 scales, 9CR13 steel and it's a lock back but the blade design (3.5") is very close to the mini AFCK . Some of the on-line retailers still have them in stock although they have been discontinued.

Best of luck!

Nope. Many of us have clamored, begged, pleaded, cajoled, asked, and threatened (ok, I doubt anyone had done that) for many years, but it falls on deaf ears.

That is a shame. It looks like it would have been an ideal sized and designed knife.

I had the mini AFCK liner lock. It was one of my first knives and I loved it despite the very weak detent.

I still have a 812s-LH, and once I get the titanium liners drilled for a pocket clip, I will probably start carrying it again. The Rift and 940 are the only knives I've owned that have been able to bump the mini-AFCK out of "favorite" status.

Mini afck?
I think the location of the stop pin creates some design issues(see pics below).
BM would have to do some recalculating as to where all the axis components would be placed.
All this on a discontinued model?
That's probably why we have not seen this happen.

Here's one I worked on:
Silver twill scales, standoffs and a clip relocation (Ti liners).
You can see that the stop pin captive nut is not counter bored enough yet in pic #2.

I own an older 812. The detent's just fine, tip down and all it's never opened by accident. My larger 800 doesn't get carried as much, this little knife is a favorite.

Keyman that is awesome! Makes me think screw the liner lock let's go do that! Very very nice.
