Hello All,
Just wanted to post some pictures of a sheath I made for a Mini AK Bowie. First a little story behind it. This was a sheath I was going to do for another formite, he cherished this blade, loved it and for reasons I still cant understand he gifted it to me. Now I put up a fight mind you, but he would have none of it!! Well my friend Bawanna has a heart bigger then himself, so after he threatened to come to SC and beat me up I yielded. I made this sheath with some of the left over Beaver Tail I had from the sheath I made him. It was not long enough to cover the whole front, so I shaped sort of a filler at the bottom to cover the rest. I really like how it came out. I made it somewhat form fitting, it has a semi open front to ease the draw and the replacement back so you have to tilt it slightly to go back in, fits like a glove. These Mini Ak's are something else, I was smitten as soon as I held it. Enough talk here are some photos, I hope you like them,

I really like the sheath! The wood on the mini bowie looks so warm.

I just got mine yesterday, it's horn, love the blade and smooth horn handle, but now that I've seen the wood handle, I gotta get one of those too! Bawanna is so correct, Kami Bhakta really does know his way around the bowie!

Thanks for the pics.

I guess I'll be contacting you soon to do a sheath for my 18" Tirtha Siru (kind of loose), I accidently turned it over once with the blade in it, and ummm...let's just say, I'm lucky the blade missed my toes by about 1/2 an inch! Might as well have one done for my 15" Lok BAS too, I need a sheath sleek and tight, to carry on some of my camping trips.

I think it looks incredible. It made me happy to give it to you at least for a couple hours before the pain and suffering began:). I was only kidding about beating you up, I planned to slap you around a little bit but not a beat down by any stretch.

You wrapped it in nice clothes and your more deserving than I. I think it was meant to be.

Pugs, that is one good looking sheath! Do you need the knife when you make a tight fit like that?
Those who don't have this "mini" and are reading this, it is bigger than most "regular" sized knives I have... I love it and will buy a few more!

Correction, WAAAAAY BIGGER....
I absolutely love the R10 and mAK (notice the lowercase for Mini :p). I wish it was legal length, would never part with it! I do not have a "Regular" Bowie. Gosh, how big is that?

Hopefully a legal length Micro Mini AK in the future. Auntie said when kami's catch up with all the custom orders and moving and everything she would try to have some made. Hard for them to keep up with all our wants.

I'm hankering for a karambit too, a small one by HI standards. But the Micro Mini AK first.

I am up for a micro mini AK. Gosh those things are beautiful! There is currently a wait list for HI Karambits and I am on it :).

Thank you all very much, I enjoyed making this one especially.
Verpra- yes I need the blade to make a sheath, it's the only way to ensure the best fit.
I have both the regular and the mini bowie, I will post a photo of both together, I will also be buying a Bawanna Bowie when they are made.

I find myself coming back here all through the day for another look. That's just an immensely beautiful thing you created. And praise the beaver for his part in making it all happen.

I'm anxious as I can be for the Bawanna Bowie but I don't care what the call it, thought it kind of rolled off the tongue but might be something more fitting. Sure anxious though. Might have to get two so I got one to cherish while your fixing up some new clothes for the other.

Another 10'' is in my future too, I can feel it in my cells. The micro to daily carry and the mini to strap on once in awhile when I'm feeling narly which don't seem to happen near as much any more. Wheaties don't even seem to help.:thumbdn:

Now that there is Karma at its best! Congrats Pugs! And Bawanna you're kindness ceases to amaze me! What a cool place! Any updates on the "Bawanna Bowie"? Im holding out on the AKB's because i want to order the entire set!

Thank you Ndoghouse, this place is good karma. And as promised some pic of both. There is a little size difference but still wouldn't tangle with either one as the mini is a beast as well.

Holy Moley! Thats a 16" ruler! I underestimated the size of the big one. No wonder Bawanna wants a "micro"! Your sheaths look awesome btw. Love the beavertail! They look bombproof, sleek and aint nothin there that dont need to be:thumbup:. When I can part with my 21" single fuller Chit long enough i would love for you to make me a black one. Gotta decide on my favorite way to carry it first.
