I bought it on Ebay, so it may have been used, but it looked like factory grind lines. The angle of the edge was very high. It took a lot of sharpening to get it to a good angle.

Of course, now that this well-hardened piece of steel is sharpened properly, it is an amazing little devil. Doesn't ATS34 at 59-61 RC deserve the same super sharp factory edge as a Buck 110?

With our move, and training all new edgers/sharpeners, it is quite possible that this one did not get done properly.

If you wish, send it in and we will get it right.

It has the upside down T stamp.

It took a while, but I already sharpened it down nicely. I wish the blade was thinner near the edge, but I sharpened it at 15 degrees per side, so that makes up for it.

By the way, having this knife properly heat treated makes a difference (as if you didn't already know :)). This isn't the first ATS34 knife I have used, but it's one of the best, even with a thick edge.
