I've been thinking about re-handling my Mini-Alpha with a full-size set of scales. Please take a look at the before and after pic and give an opinion whether or not it I should try it. I don't want to ruin the knife but the partial scales it has now leave a little to be desired in the handling department.

 
i have been toying with that same idea only on my dorado:D Guess great minds think alike:D Give us picts when you get it done

Sorry Blue,

I like them the way the Alpha's come from the factory. But, you should make the mod's you have in mind. Post some photo's of your project;)

What jb said. However, it is an interesting mod that is well worth the undertaking.
 
And this is the reason that they make both Fords and Chevys, at least for a few more months!! :(
 
Well I think I might try it - after hunting season is over of course. That will also give me time to gather up materials. Anyone care to guess how the scales are held on: rivets only or rivets and glue?
 
Blue sky , I think that it would be cool to try it and see what the
difference it makes in the hand.:thumbup:

I like it, but versus the rounded front end, I would like the front to more flow with the blade.
