Today's antique pickups! Don't know much about the tomahawk besides its' a Biscayne style axe, mouse hawk sized, and hand forged. Don't know much on the Bridgeport either but it's in great condition. And the Camillus speaks for itself.

Any idea on those axes? Guessing the Boy Scout Hatchet is from the 30's-50's from the looks. Not an expert on them. Don't expect an I.D on the tomahawk, but anyone with any ideas would be welcome. it's certainly a neat lil bugger.

I think the shorter bit helps quite a bit with that. Going to hone the edge a bit tomorrow and use it to help me shape out an axe handle (maybe two).

So I finally dug out my Ed Holbrook Scout Blades book. Bridgeport made two similar hatchets to the one you have. One from 1934-1948 and one from '48 till '60. The older one had a squared off, flat poll while the newer one was slightly rounded. The edges of both blades differed similarly, with the newer one being more rounded. Yours looks like the older one. From what I can see in my book picture the stamps on yours also match the older model.

I'd say it's older too, it isn't stamped official, squared poll, and stamp. Thanks! I guess 30s to 50s was a good guess then eh?
