First of all let me just say after all this time I've been here I never even knew there was a Benchmade sub-forum.. :o

This will be my first Benchmade, I had a chance to buy one locally on the cheap about a year ago and I've regretted it since.. I'm really looking forward to getting my hands on this design...

I got it in walnut so this will be very interesting, I've never had a folder in wood before... This was more of an impulse buy, I was itching to buy a folder but was actually looking for a used sebbie well never could snatch one up so I had to do something right?? why not give benchmade a try?? made an offer on the bay and surprisingly was accepted..

Walnut and D2 steel, cant wait to check it out...

ETA: no wonder I never noticed it, its a new forum.... wake up boy :)

I like the bone collector but the.scales are a bit wider than I like, though the mini is better than full size. I've wondered if taking them off and sanding them down would better suit my tastes. Other than that it is a great knife with good materials and a really good price last I checked. Plus you will get to try the AXIS lock which is the best lock around IMO.

I like mine, but I don't carry it nearly as much as I'd like to. It's a great design, but I'm not crazy about it for some strange reason. I always end up carrying the full-sized Griptilian (H2O), or my de-assisted mini-Barrage instead of this one despite my love for the Walnut scales. I think a lot of it is the blade-shape. I just really don't like that up-swept drop-point blade. I've actually thought about having the spine re-ground to more of a true drop-point shape.

I ordered a stainless clip for mine and it looks way better (IMO). I don't like to keep knives that I don't carry so I keep getting this little guy out to sell, but I can never do it because I have so few D2 steel folders and this really is a perfect design other than the blade-shape (which is purely an aesthetics/opinion thing).

YIKES !!!!!!!!

this thing is awesome, I haven't had a sickness like this in a LONG time, Got the D2 version with Walnut scales and axis lock, if I had one complaint it would be that the scales feel a little dry...but this could be from sitting around so long before being sold...

perfect fit/finish, lock, centering, zero play, and gritty sharp just like I like 'em..

this will not be my only BM, I'm looking to get the griptilian now..

Its really got my juices going bigtime, way to go Bench Made !!!!

The mini BC is my current favorite. I've got them in all flavors -- black G10, green/black G10, and the walnut. I even picked up a large in green/black G10 to feel the difference in size. I find the ergonomics to be very similar, though I much prefer the small to the large.

Flat ground D2 with great geometry, Spydie hole, blackened liners, fantastic ergos (even better sans clip), the Axis, what's not to like? Enjoy!

I received a week ago the Bone Collector...and i'm in love. But, i don'k know that exist mini BC, and now...I NEED ONE!

Quickly, go to buy it!

Regards to the subforum: i'm new in Benchmade subforum, really i should to introduce me here.

professor those are beauty's.. I've carried this around all day and man I'm impressed, did I mention how awesome this knife is?? :p

I'll have to get some obligatory knife pics of course when I get a chance, I may even do a review on this one and pair it up to another manufacturer...

It's truly a great, great utility folder. The tip's relative thickness all the way to the point facilitates light prying (ahhh!) and the dropped handle design of the BC/Presidio platform (thanks, Mel) makes for powerful cutting (goofy descriptor, but the best I could come up with) through thicker materials.

Lotta cutting power in a small package.

I lost recently my Benchmade Mini Bone Collector. Man it survived moving and all hassling. I took it out and used it as my primary knife as I settled new apartment. Now I cannot find it anywhere. Its great knife. One of the best modern Folders I've used. I will order another one when my supplier gets two tone mini Collector, similar that I lost. Its perfect for my hand, great blade shape and excellent utility knife with axis lock. The good side is that its still made unlike Kulgera which is also one of my fave knifes. So replacing it is just matter of waiting
