Don't get to post much over here on the Buck forum. I remember my first "real" single blade folders as a Buck 110 and 112 Ranger. Thirty years ago these were the ultimate folding knife for me to possess. Still are mighty fine blades!
I am a committed Sebenza nutt
, but when the oppurtunity arose for me to acquire a mini Buck/Strider sp (especially at a wholesale price
) I took the plunge.
I am glad I did! This is one overbuilt knife. The quality is outstanding. Fit and finish are outstanding. My ONLY complaint is the clip. It is tight! The blade is perfectly centered and there is no blade play in any direction. I tightened up the action a little bit and the knife now opens and closes exactly like I want it too. Upon closing the liner ball detent locks right in to the blade dimple.
I especially like how the blade stop pin and blade are matched up. The half round cutout on the blade tang really distributes the wear on the stop pin, ala the Sebenza! Very, very
I plan on carrying this one in the back pocket of my jeans. Nothing will replace the large Classic with leather inlays in my right front
I may just have found the perfect "small" bladed compliment to my 'benza!
