Mini Bugout Edge Grind Question

I picked up a Mini Bugout (CF Elite version), and the build quality is very good, except for the edge grind. The angles, and it's most noticeable at the tip, are different (see picture). I realize that Benchmades can have some uneven factory edges, but the four other Benchmades I have, and some are over five years old, are much better. If this is "normal" and something I should just even out with sharpening over time, I won't worry about it. It's not as bad as other Benchmades others have posted, which look like chisels.

Many thanks in advance.

Classic Benchmade “left beef” edge.

Super common. Just sharpen the nonsense out.

Thanks for the responses. I've been lucky with the other Benchmades I've owned over the years, but sounds like I just need to even up the edge over time on this one.

Interesting - In looking at images others have posted of their Benchmades with uneven edge bevels, they are all the same as mine to varying degrees. In comparison, my Mini Bugout isn't that bad. You'd think Benchmade would have made an adjustment by now given how common and consistent an issue it appears to be.

You’d think ;)

People have been complaining about QC for years, but it seems to fall on deaf ears. It seems like one out of every seven threads in this subforum is someone inquiring about a QC issue, and the Benchmade rep will occasionally chime in with “I will pass this along to the correct department” but nothing ever changes.
