Do any of the 'in the know' suspects know when satin or hard-chrome mini-Commanders will be out?

And, will there be green G-10 models or only black?

Thanks in advance guys:)

The "Satin" Mini-Commanders are already out. I have one in support side pocket as we speak.

They will be available with the Green G10 soon, if not already.

Hi there!

The Mini Commanders with Hard chrome blade and green handle are already available. Number.162 lives in my pocket:D

Are you sure it is hard chrome and not a bright bead blast? I was told that the exclusive Chromium Nitrate blades was a "special" run for Midwest Gun Exchange only(wholesaler) and that they were not going to do it again because it was so hard to do the finish.Does anyone know the true answer?Big Wave Dave OUT

EKI uses or has used the following finishes:

Real uncoated Satin - in 1998

Beadblasted - I've heard of 1998 being beadblasted, but have never seen one

Green-T - first used in the "Mil-Spec" Specwars and Commanders in 1999, also available on most models in 2000

Chromium Nitrate - CN was used in a single run of 500 sets. Each set contained a CQC7B and a Commander, both 50/50 serrated. Each set was serialized alike, starting with the prefix "CN"

Black-T - Black-T is a Teflon coating and has been available since day one at EKI

Current production "Satin" - The current "Satin" finish looks almost identical to the "CN" finish and resembles a frosted stainless look. It is a Hard Chrome coating. I've found this to be the most durable finish so far.
