Mini Commander screw problems

I bought a Mini Commander about two months ago. About a week ago, I noticed the blade was no longer centered and that there was a lot of play (when locked open, there was about 1/4 inch of play) and the two handle slabs squeezed together pretty easily. I figured out that the pivot screw was loose, so I just tightened that up. Well, today it's come loose again so I think I ought to use some sort of adhesive. Do any of you have any ideas as to what kind of glue I should use? I've got this clear super-glue made by Loc-Tite that I think might work, but all my other knives use the colored Loc-Tite (I think it's the blue kind). Any help would be appreciated.

I use Uncle Mike's Gun-Tite by Loctite available at your local gun shop. That blue stuff works wonders but be sure to use just a tiny drop. It will stop the pivot from loosening, but you can still removed it if you need to take your knife apart.

On my Commanders, I use 1 wrap of teflon tape around the threads of the pivot screw. Emerson Co. told me about this. The main thing about teflon tape is that it will hold the pivot screw snug, but you can still tighten or loosen it, a bit, if needed.

I second the teflon tape! I've used that stuff on most of my pivit screw adjustable folders for years. Like JayHarley said it's great 'cause it will keep the screws from losening on their own (althought if you Wave a lot you may want to use 2-3 wraps) without actually locking the screw down.
