Received my mini-commander last friday. I am as impressed with it as I was my horseman I received. So far I am thoroughly impressed with KEI products :)

Good to hear.
If I owned a Commander, I'd have it Kreined.

Lycosa, Im shocked you havent had your spoons and TV Kreined yet :D

Nice score on the Commie, I'm sure it will be the second of many more

Haze I believe you are right...second of many. By the way, maybe it's just me, but I like the EKI grind on the blade. Most knives that I have seen and owned have a symetrical grind. I enjoy the chisel-grind, or "v" as is called by EKI. Just another factor that sets them apart from other companies. Just my humble opinion. :)

Im waiting on a heap of EKI goodnes just now :D

Iv got a Tom Krein regrind coming back soon, a couple of HDs and an other kerambit on the way :thumbup:

The reground blades are thiner behind the edge and are taken to a basic zero bevel.
This makes them a much better slicer, not to mention the reground blades also look sooweeeet :D:thumbup:

Krein Grind = The Sharpest knife you'll own.
And, you'll have a True chisel grind, if you go that way.

Jocawalk, here's one pic of the many knives I had Tom do a regrind on. It's a CQC-7A. He does some great work. Check it out, I highly recommend him. If you have any questions give me a shout!

you are such a krein fanatic he should do your stuff for free lycosa lol.

anyway i need a email for tom, i am gonna send in my '12, do ya think he could regrind and bead blast the blade?? maybe BB the handle??

i wonder if anyone could add a hinderer stabiliser? i have always wanted a hinderer stabiliser on my '12 for some dumb reason, looks i guess, i think it would look good on it.

He sure can do you a beadblast finish and regrind on a 12,
I'm waiting for my Persian to come back and that has a bb finish,
it looked great on the mini-7 he did for me last time so i went for the bead blast again this time.

Here is his e-mail, I do tend to have better luck contacting him through the forum though.

I always liked the hidden Airkat style lock stabaliser over the Hinderer style one my self.
It would be easier to do as well I think.

Sure will man, This Persian is going to kick ass.:D

I also see the Persian has been taken off the EKI web page :(
I might have to pick up an other one just to make sure I have one or five for the future.

Hey SIFU1A,

Thanks for the nice comments,

Ferrrk is the man......... I'm a pretty picky fella when it comes to knives and everything has come back A1! He's done about 7 or 8 different styles of 7a's. His frame locks are unreal. Can't say enough good things about him!
