Mini CQC-7

Is there any place to buy a left handed mini cqc-7 other than straight from Emerson? Been looking around and there doesn't seem to be any around that I can find. I just bought a righty version and was thinking of just sending sending it in and having the clip holes drilled on the other side but it will still be tuff to open with my left thumb. If anyone is interested in the knife, it's on eBay right now
 
Please be aware that you are not allowed to advertise knives you have for sale outside the BF Exchange. As far as lefty Emersons, I believe they can only be purchased direct from EKI.
 
EKI will drill any of their knives for lefty carry for a fee. The only ones that are available as true lefty models are the 7 and Commander.
 
I did a little scale mod to help move and hold the lock open, and added a Gray Precision monster thumb disk. My CQC-7 is now lefty friendly.

I actually carry in my right pocket. Always have. Soft stuff in the left pocket (wallet, phone, bills, receipts, slips of paper, etc), hard stuff in the right (keys, change, knife, tools, parts, etc.). I'll draw and handoff the knife to my left hand (either closed or opened depending), use it, close it, and hand it back to my right to stow it.

I guess I just adapted to doing that from knives with right-hand-only studs, clips, lockbacks and slipjoints with the nail groove on one side, and so on.
 
That's a thought. Never really gave that much consideration. Thanks Rustpot, I'll have to give that a try if it doesn't sell soon.

Here, take a look at this video. I made this with two standard size 7's. I put the stock disc back on the first one, and you can see the lock serrations from the notch I filed on the scale- like I said it really helps with pulling to lock over and holding it with the left thumb. And you can tell I have a little more trouble with the lock on the second one that I haven't modded yet, but the big disc makes it easier to open.
