I bought a used mini CQC15 which has an issue with the pocket clip. The three screws keep loosening and one of them won't thread at all. I have tried using blue loctite to no avail. Any ideas?
I tried replacing the stock clip with a low profile clip and found that some of the clip screws on one knife were actually a little short. If memory serves, the ones that worked were .190" long. You might see if you can find some 2-56 screws locally and cut them down to the right length. Then use blue loctite.
I'd probably go through Emerson as suggested. I saw a chart somewhere the other day that showed the screw size for Emerson knives and most of them use .190" long screws for the pocket clips. The 3/16" will probably work with the stock clip, but I don't know for sure. I know 3/16" is too short for some aftermarket clips. Sorry I can't be more definitive.
