Mini crooked river owners; would you say it is a bit small, just right, or a bit big?

I just got the full size crooked river, because from the pictures I saw online of it being held in hand, it looked kind of too small.

But now that I got the full size, I think it is too big. I want to exchange it for the mini crooked river but I'm concerned it may be too small for my liking. I cant see it in store either because of the pandemic.

I just wanted to have a rough idea of what people who have the mini generally think; is it what you would call a small knife, good size, or a bit large?

If you have both the mini and the full size, which one do you like more?

I have had both, now I only have the mini.
The large is massive. It’s way too much knife. It’s like a massive hunting oriented blade and too large for EDC purposes.
The mini fits my hand perfectly. It’s just enough blade... not too little, not too much. It flicks open and closed much faster and smoother than the large.
I’d say if you’re looking for an EDC knife, the mini CR is a nice piece with a good size and a good blade shape for most tasks. I liked it so much I bought a custom in s90v from the Benchmade website.
Most people I’ve heard from say they like the mini far more than the large.

For my medium (3.5” wide) hands, the mini crooked river is a good size. Big guys with XL hands might prefer something bigger.

Comparison shots. I like them both, but the mini is perfect for EDC as previously stated. That large is just a beast. I like it, but it’s just not practical like the mini is. I wear a size Large glove for reference. I think it’s really just a great size in general.

Just right, in that Paramilitary 2 kind of way. It's still alot of knife, but feels about perfect to me. Anything more I would consider it a big knife. I had both at one time. I also thought the regular was too large for my style of edc. Now I'm saving up to buy a custom shop one in s90v myself.

the large is way too big. the small feels really good. I also think the 940 feels really good and the mini-grip is too small and the full size grip is slightly too large. I think the pm2 is too large and the pm3/sage5 is just right.

You are absolutely right. The full size Crooked River is one large knife, I did not keep mine, albeit I like "good sized" folders very much.

The what BM calls Mini CR is perfect in size and fluidity. It should not be called Mini, it is misleading.

I venture to guess you will find it quite handy.

The mini is about the perfect EDC size IMO. My only comment is the handle seems a tad short (as in height, not width) at the back under the ring and pinky fingers. Still one of my favorites tho and highly reccomend the custom shop 20cv version :)

Damn feeling so stupid now lol, I spent so much time pondering over which one to get and I still got the wrong one.

I got the custom one with damasteel cause I had intended it to be more of a safe queen than an edc, so I thought the full size one would display better.

But it's too pretty not to be carried, and I found myself fidgeting with it all day, cant put it down. Now I decided that I definitely going to be carrying this out but it's just too big.

Definitely going to be exchanging it for the mini

The big is too much for me. I have a mini, and its just right. Might be touch too small to be perfect for me, but its a great size. The mini is what they should have come out with first.

Not an owner because I saw the mini at blade and thought it was to small. Bummed to hear that the regular might be too big.

Mini is a more practical knife to carry. I have both but rarely carry the full size CR as it's just too big to carry comfortably.

The mini is a great size. I love the full size as well, and have a standard and custom of each. So 2 minis and 2 full size, and I carry them all. I don't mind the big knives, I also carry a contego (on me today!).

If the full size is too big for you, the mini should make you happy.
