Ok, so am I out of the loop here or what’s going on, why are all the mini crooked rivers sold out? Is it cause of the holidays and people are buying gifts, or is Benchmade finally adjusting their QC? Ik a ton of people that have experienced poor QC with the MCR but with their 940/griptilian’s they have none of the issues the MCR has. On knife center it also says “delayed by manufacturer” so I’m just wondering if they’re finally fixing their mistakes...

No, hate towards the knife. it’s beautiful and great, but for a $200 knife, I expect it to have higher standards than some of my $50-$100 knives!

My guess is that it's sold out in the holiday rush. The Mini Crooked River was named in a few mainstream "Holiday Gift Guide" publications recently, so it might have some more people outside the hobby looking for one this year. That combined with production slowdowns during the pandemic would lead certain models being out of stock.

I was just looking at the Benchmade offerings at REI. Usually they have around 35 different models, but right now they're down to 22. I imagine they've just sold out but I did see that they still offered MCRs.

I think it is as Silent H suggested, it is most likely due to holidays blade hw just restocked on the BM’s and they sold out within a day

I purchased an MCR when it first was first released and I’ve had no issues at all so I’m surprised to hear there are quality issues. Had mine for sale at a good price recently, no takers but I decided to keep as an EDC after replacing the clip to a deep carry. I’ll search again for issues that Benchmade warranty is not fixing or standing by. Benchmade knives are over priced but I’ve never heard of anyone having a warranty issue.

I noticed govx dot com inventory on benchmades is super low too, almost looks like they are selling what they have then being done. Maybe part of covid and retailers unsure of how much product they needed to produce earlier in fall

It appears they are still out of stock. I know they offer them on their custom site but that makes them even more expensive. I hope they become available again, I would love to pick one up!

I hope that they get their act together on this knife. My Custom Shop version is the ONE knife I have; that has serious problems.
I keep debating with myself over my 2 options: send in back... or dive deeper into it.

Maybe I was just lucky but my custom shop MCR is the nicest BM I’ve owned—great action, centering, grind, lockup, and the S90V sharpens up nice and crisp and holds a great edge. Bought it second hand from a seller who makes YouTube knife videos and wasn’t happy with the action, but all it needed was a light cleaning / tune up. Really underrated knife IMHO.
