Mini Cyclone clip mod

Did you use the clip that comes with it or another clip?Very interested in this mod more pics please.Good job.

I see all the pics now.Thanks.What material is that clip.Where can it be found.sometimes when I wear my cyclone it screams I HAVE A KNIFE.I've been looking, wondering about a clip mod like this.

This is the way it should have been from Kershaw. I find it interesting that you also added a "lock stop" in the tip down clip holes...what would you assume this would accomplish (other than stopping the lock in some manner)? Would this modification work on all Cyclones? If so, it's a definite must do to the full sized Cyclones!

This is a very sweet mod...I'd like to have all 5 of mine done!

Hey Ice-pic, I don't have the ability to drill and tap a 2-56 hole. What would you want to hook a brotha up on this (5 knives total...4 for now...I'd have to keep one to carry while the others are getting "fixed")? Let me know!

I am too busy to take on jobs like that but if you look at knifekits.com site the clip is there.

The lock stop keeps the framelock member from being deflected too far (when the clip is in tip down position it also acts as a lockstop) which might cause it to loose some of its spring force.Especially on the beautiful Kershaw which has sofened up the framelock tenson by drilling the series of holes in the back of the frame if you look where the frame is pocketed out the holes go right through the pocket and reduce the spring force on the blade (so it opens easier)but still remaining plenty strong enough to keep the blade in when closed and lock it up tight when open.
