Hey all,
I usually just post my work in the makers gallery, but this particular combo has turned out to be pretty interesting so I thought I'd share it.

I started out with this particular knife wanting to somehow blend high tech and low tech, old school and modern. I ended up combining space age lightning strike carbon fiber with old school micarta made from plain old canvas fabric. I chose the brown micarta because I thought the color would compliment the copper in the carbon fiber. People have commented on how well I blended the laminate, but it was pure luck. The rough fibers of the canvas in the micarta that were exposed after surface prep really blended well with the epoxy and gave the handle it's seamless look.

Thanks for looking, hope you guys enjoy it!

That's a beautiful knife for sure. The cuts on the spine of the blade... are those made with a special file? The scales are perfect too. Larry Lehman, Bakersfield

I remember seeing your first knife and have enjoyed seeing how clean your style has developed. Balanced proportions, pleasing shape and very clean finish.
It's a very nice knife.

^^^ Yup. The sum is greater than the parts.

A++!

I don't often comment, but that is striking. Love the lines, but especially the way the CF looks aged and crackled. I've not seen anything like this before. Innovation.

I like how the transition from the Carbon fiber to micarta looks. It looks like the whole scale is one solid piece with the micarta just kind of melting into the carbon fiber.

Nice knife Jonny.
