Well, Mini EU-17 number 13 made it to Australia today.

First, Jerry, thank you for making it possible for me to get Mini number 13 to go with Magnum number 13

Second, I can’t afford Busses and cameras, so don’t start the pictures chant.

First impressions: WOW!

There is something about the combination of the width of the stock and the full height flat grind on the EU-17s. They scream strength and function.

The Mini feels like a big mid sized knife, and cuts very well for such a robust knife (I just used it to make lunch).

The EU handles are the most comfortable knife handles I’ve used/owned. I wish the knife bug had returned early enough so that I could have bought Ergo handles new.

The Mini balances just behind the guard, and I get the feeling it will be comfortable for extended periods of work. The blade just seems to float, and the handle is so well suited to my medium sized hands that the knife just sort of stays in my fingers.

For the next few weeks it’s going to ride in a Spec Ops Combat Master, but I can’t wait to get some serious leather from Dwayne for the Mini.

More thoughts once I’ve had some time to put the knife to some real use.

Right on man. Congrats!!

...but where's the PIIIIIIIIIIICS! :D

Thanks Jerry.

And I thought I was the only one who thinks that 13 is a lucky number.

Does anything really spooky happen when you get your 13th Busse blade?
Only if your 13th just happens to be number 13, then small mammals begin throwing rotten vegetables at your local post office, slowing down further Busse knife shipments. OH, THE HORROR!!!

Note to self: always keep a Rat handy to convince the rats that I’m going to pick up one of their brethren from the post office. By the time I come out swinging another Busse it’ll be too late for any furry mammal in sight.
