I recently got a X15 grip, and I love it, so I now I'm planning on getting a custom mini grip, and there's one thing that I'm having trouble deciding, and that is the usefulness of the modified sheepsfoot that they have, or if I should just go with the drop point?
Thanks for your help.

I'd go with the sheepsfoot personally, since it has a Spydie hole in stead of a thumb stud. The sheepsfoot will be a bit thicker and thus sturdier, but not as good for piercing tasks as the drop-point. The sheepsfoot is also hollow ground in stead of flat ground.

here's a pic of three the sheep foot is my favorite. 154 or s30v will work

Just went through this myself. Ended up choosing the MDP as it will do everything I want it to where as the sheepsfoot will not.

Right now I'm think I'm gonna go with the Sheepsfoot as all of my other knives are drop point

Modified sheepsfoot is my everyday carry. I prefer it to a drop point. Personally I've always thought that wharncliffe and sheepsfoot style blades give you the best bang for the buck. With a drop point usually the front half of the edge is all that is really ever used. I feel that with a sheepsfoot blade you can easily utilize the entire edge of the knife.

Got any pics of your carry?

Since there are really 3 shapes there:

I am not a fan of the regular grip blade shape and probably never will be. Ritter shape is great, so the sheep comes in a distant second.

1) Ritter
2) Sheep
3) Regular grip blade

I have both versions but prefer the sheepsfoot look, and I don't care too much for the thumbstud solution. Why add something to a knife when you can achieve the same by leaving something out.
