Mini Grip OD

Was never a fan of Benchmades Griptilian series really as I found the handles a little too thick for me and the FRN didn't seem to have the flex that my Enduras have.

But I managed to get a brand new mini in olive drab for $50 CDN which was too good a deal to pass up.

I'm used to carrying my small Sebenza in this size category so we'll see how the mini grip stacks up. The handle ergos feel good and I'm no stranger to the axis lock so all's good there. My only gripe so far is Benchmades 'out of the box' sharpness was not all that fantastic. Not a big deal but after been spoilt by Spydercos razor edges it's a tad dissapointing.

I'm looking forward to carrying and using this one.

The Cabela's Mini Grip in D2 (I carry the black rather than OD) is my EDC. I generally reprofile any new knives, with the exception of Kershaws which come extremely sharp, to less than 30 degrees. I then put a 30 degree primary bevel on it. Plenty sharp for me.
