Has anyone found a workaround to remove the right side thumb stud and retain the one on the left? Small flat head nut that will screw into the thumb stud and lay flush on the right side? Clip point Mini Grips are one of my all time favorite knives but the right side thub stud has caught my pants and yanked the blade out too many times. Thanks

Too bad you're stuck on the clip point. I do like the look of it (I have the 556-1) but it's hard to beat the sheepfoot spidey hole for simplicity and fidget fun which I tend to carry more for those reasons. Sorry, not very helpful but I hope you figure it out. I'm guessing you would need to get a countersink bit and drill it out for it to lay flat even if you find the right screw and threading. Unless you don't mind a bit of a dome on that side but it might look odd.

How about just rotating the knife 45 degrees before you pull it out? I try to drag the spine up the seam of my pocket on some knives that tend to open premature. Good luck

How about doing like me. Remove both side, have a mini-spydie-hole, and flick it out by pulling the lock bar back? Difficult to do with the mini, I realize.
Also, you can pinch the blade open. I did that for years on a Buck 703, before I realized what a tactical folder was. It works even easier for an axis-lock equipped knife.

Thanks for the thoughts folks. I might and see if the one sided stud setup from the Kabar Dozier (either regular or small) can be made to work. Not life ending for sure just an annoyance and something I'd like to tweak.
