Being new to the world of knives, I have a Gerber AST-34 knife, not sure of the model. But I just ordered a Mini Griptilian for daily carry and use, I wear a tie on weekdays and wanted a smaller knife for boxes and various daily cutting stuff. I have not seen or handled this knife and any opinions from folks who might have one would be cool. I liked the blade profile, looked kinda useful in design. While it is not an expensive knife, I've lost so much money in stocks the last couple years, fifty bucks comes harder these days....:D Anyway opinions welcome good or bad!
Thanks Much

Well, I don't yet have the mini, but I have the full-sized 550 and 551 Griptilians, and have only handled the mini at a shop.

The mini feels considerably smaller than the regular-sized, but IMO, comfortable in the hand for a smaller knife. Of the 550 and 551, I like the 550's blade better and use it more (the blade with the oval hole). In fact it's been my main single-blade user knife for 6 months now.

I know it doesn't answer your question about the mini, just wanted to say that the Griptilian family of knives are one of the best knife values out there.
