The mini-grip handles are all the same. It should be a simple blade swap. No need to completely disassemble the handles to do this. Just the pivot screw.

I've never owned a grip with the AXIS lock. Is swapping the blade on a grip just as easy as it is on a liner lock? Thanks again.

It's not hard to do. Granted, I've never disassembled a liner lock folder before.

The biggest pain is putting the blade back in and having the 2 phosphor-bronze washers line up so you can put the pivot screw and bolt back in. You do have to pull the axis bar back to its unlocked position to fit the blade back in.

Here is post from the Benchmade forum that illustrates with step-by-step pictures on the stripping and reassembly of a Griptilian.

Blade swaps on Grips are not hard at all. The instructions Bucktool 02 linked you to will walk you right through it.

i just asked a very similar question on the benchmade forums :D, if you dont already have a 557 blade i would be willing to trade you mine, its a 557sbk (154cm), for a plain edge satin/black one (154cm) new/like new??? my blade is new, i have only cut a piece of paper or two with it, it has no marks or dings and is still factory sharp.

Bucktool_02, thanks for all the help. That's a great write-up.

derrickd803, thanks for the offer but I'm actually buying this plain edge to replace my own partially serrated blade that I'm not too happy with.
