Mini griptilian thumb studs an issue?

Just received my blue mini griptilian in the mail today! Very impressed
My only issue is that I feel like my knife will open up if I pull it of my pocket.
With the knife clipped, I can feel the thumb studs rub against my jeans on the way out.
Does anyone else have this issue?
 
I always have a minigrip in the rotation I take to work. Love it. I can remember the stud catching the side of my workpants and semi deploy like an Emerson at least three times (out of hundreds). Two of those times I was sitting in my car and pulled it out while sitting. These arent jean style pockets I wear to wrk though, more like slacks. You can alter the way you pull it out of your pocket by sliding it away from the side of your pants.
 
I have work-carried a mini-grip and another Benchmade with thumbstuds for a couple years now and never had an issue. Earlier I bought two more grips(1 mini, 1 normal) without studs, but that was only because they were 20% off!
