I received my new Mini Grip a couple of days ago. I got the light blue handle with out the serrations. What a great little knife! It's been in my pocket for the past couple of days, temporarily replacing my CR small Sebenza (or Mnandi which is my "suit knife"). My only question is what tool do I use to remove the pocket clip? (I'm not a fan of the clip) None of my allen keys fit, any suggestions?

Benchmade actually sells a little kit with a bunch of torx bits. It is around $11 online, might pick one up. Sadly torx bits are hard to find, really hard, by me. Not sure if it is common or not though.

I also removed the pocket clip at one point on my mini-grip in favor of just letting it loose in my pocket. That turned out to be a bad idea. At one point I reached in my pocket and the tip was out just a little bit. It didn't stick me at all, just enough of a scare to get me to clip back onto my pocket or carry a different knife if I am just letting it loose in my pocket.

The T-6 of my Benchmade Blue Box recently broke, so I went to the hardware store for a replacement. There's a Husky set thats only about $6, and I think its much higher quality.

Yeah, mine is twisting :o

My new one is twisting as well, I think its unavoidable with such a small bit and with manufacturer's really screwing those down with loctite. What I like about this new set is that its one of those slender precision drivers with the rotating cap at the end. Its so much easier than the blue box, I can't believe I had been using it for so long. BM is making a killing on those kits.

The minigrip is a great little knife - it is definitely one of my go-to knives for really dirty work -
I removed the pocket clips on mine with a bit-set from Wal-Mart that happened to have a few Torx bits.

Yeah the mini grip is sick!

I usually only buy and use Spydies but the ritter mini grip is the current reigning champ in my edc line up!

It took some serious dicsipline not to order the d2 minigrip tonight.

Although I'm sure it will be bought in the very near future.

The handles are actually really comfortable without the clip. I've never had any of them come open on me, but I didn't carry it for very long like that. I was afraid it would drop out of my pocket running around.

Resistance is futile.

My mini-RSK has permanently displaced my small regular Sebbie in my EDC rotation. I tried the Sebbie for 6 months just to be fair, but for EDC I really prefer an ambi knife since I don't know which hand is going to be free for opening and using it at any particular time.

Now I'm back to the RSK and a VG10 Caly 3 for work EDC with a Sage on most weekends or a Millie or ParaMillie if we're going to the woods.

I too carry a Grip variant much more than my Seb. The Seb is beautifully made, but the Grip is more practical.

In fact "practical" pretty much sums up the Griptilian range.
