Pearl scale 303 Cadets were a special edition knife by Buck. My examples are dated 2002 and 2003. Some of the last made versions may be dated 2004 (TinSue). Scale material is described by Buck as Poly-pearl. They were offered for sale at retail stores including Walmart and by catalog sellers. You will not find them in the public Buck catalogs.

Pearl scale 303's, white scale much more common than black.
This knife will be found without scale rivets and escutcheon plate. The blade grind and shape follow the standard 303 cadet of the time period. Blade metal is standard 420HC. Standard 303 blades of clip and spey will be found on the marked end. Sheepfoot blade on the off end. All blades carry Buck's standard small nail nic. The 2002 version will be marked with the anvil symbol and no model number. Construction follows standard form of sawcut scale 303 Cadet's, with three blade wells and springs, stainless liners and bolsters.
One varation from standard black and white pearl is known.

Oddball Polypearl 303 black poly on marked side, white polypearl on opposite.

Side views of two scale color knife shown above. Prehaps this is not the case but sometimes knives were made with different color scales to use as salesman samples.
White scale polypearl 303's are seen often from aftermarket sellers. Black poly is more rare.
