Love this knife, great hand feel, great steel, weight just right.
After the knife is unused for a while the blade doesn't drop freely as it did before. I move it up and down a little bit and it's fine.
I turn the screw a little to loosen but it's the same result later after a little rest.
Could it be corrosion?

You could take it apart and see what it looks like in there. If you use the knife for some light food prep it is possible that gunk and build up is getting into the pivot and some flushing with rubbing alcohol could be in order. If you arent comfortable with taking down a knife yet you can try throwing some food safe oil on the tang of the blade where the sliding lockbar rubs against it to help the lubricity.

Took it down completely. There was some dark "gunk" between the blade and the PB washers. It was gummy, so that would be the cause.
So I'm wondering what did it. I slice apples quite often. I could see the acid causing it, but I slice apples often and with lots of other knives with no reaction like this.
You have PB washers and stainless steel (CPM-20CV) neither is prone to corrosion .???
Cleaned it up and oiled.

I have seen that before with some oils actually. The oil in the pivot attracts particulates and especially pocket lint from carrying it around. A bit like a lint brush. Over time the pocket lint and particulates condense with the oil in the pivot to look like a black gummy solution which can really hamper the action. Some oils are more prone to this than others but it can be avoided with semi regular cleaning and flushing out with new oil or compressed air if you have that capability.

Yes, I used NANO lube before.
This time I put in oil used for electric motors just to see what happens.????
