Here is a recent order I did for a mini Kabar. The construction of the sheath was going all fine and well, up until it was nearly finished.......the retention strap. During the template design, I had forgot to take into account the retention strap interfering with the belt loops straps. This was due to the lack of real estate since it is such a small knife. Well I just about tossed it out to make a new one, when I glanced over at some kydex on the bench.... Long story short, I trimmed down the retention strap put on an offset thumb break! It turned out so well that I wish I had designed it into the sheath in the first place!

Sometimes the solutions to those screw ups can turn into some interesting innovations!

The ability to work around, or with, obstacles is the sign of a good craftsman. Author unknown, but a very good quote. :)
