mini Kwaiken flipper confirmed

I would love more information as it becomes available. I have been interested in the Kwaiken for some time but really decided to get off the fence with the flipper. Now, I hear of a mini-flipper in what's really more of my preferred size range. I'm really intrigued.
 
Any news on the Boker Mini Kwaiken flippers?

I'm hoping there will be a CF model along with the Titanium and G-10 models all with 3" VG-10 blades.
 
I was just about to pull the trigger on the orange G-10 version with the lesser steel. Glad I found this thread. Now I'll wait for this one to come out.
 
Any news on when these might be hitting stores? Getting tired of checking every day to see if they're in yet....
 
First time poster in this sub. Recently I have become interested in the Kwaiken. I love the handle design a lot. Clean, no frills, genuinely straight with no weird ergos....this handle design is really my kind of handle. I think at this point, I'd be satisfied with any model of the Kwaiken, however, the titanium and the micarta are particularly stunning.

I also prefer pocket knives in the 3 inch blade variety, but I do carry a few that have longer blades. Given the size of the Kwaiken, I do believe the mini will be right up my alley.

Is the VG-10 the only steel this will be offered in? I know no one can answer this question, it's rhetorical I suppose.
 
Hi, I spoke to Boker USA last week. The production of the mini Kwaiken starts in September. So depending on Boker's QC, and the arrival to your favorite vendor, will vary . Most say "by the end of the year". But, I'm guessing it will be available for Christmas. There are 2 handle materials. Carbon fiber model # 01V0289 and Titanium model # 01VO290.

Thanks for the update stick! So judging by your post they're ditching the black G10 idea. :(
 
The Rep I spoke to did not mention the G10 Riksalot, but they just might punch some out at a lower price point. They know we might "alter" the scales with after-market goodies and customized ideas!

Blade length is 2.99" VG-10 steel (0.125" thick).

Same liner lock as the regular Kwaiken.

3.2 ounces for G-10.
3.88 ounces for titanium.

Hopefully, there'll be a CF scale one as well.

German engineering, manufactured in Taiwan or China, unless otherwise stated.

I was just looking for the weight of the mini, have to get on the pre-order list, this one is a definite want!
