Hi guys.

Im seriously considering getting myself a mini loco limited edition but am struggling to figure out its size. Based on reviews feels like its about para3 sized closed yet with a larger blade?

Anyway id appreciate mini loco comparison photos against 940 \ 909 \ pm2 \ sebenza \ anything.

Also not sure if that opening oval works ok for knife flickering. Is it chamfered same way as the usual mini loco?

Thanks

I have a regular mini loco
It really isn't a small knife
It's solid and well put together, but in my opinion it's a beast.
I haven't mastered flicking with the thumb hole either

Yeah.. a beast. Have too much of those though, so probably will go for a mini presidio 2

Thanks for photos

the mini is the same size as a full-size griptillian and yes i can flick it open like a Spyderco.

Yeah i saw people flicking it open.. question is does it gives the same satisfying experience?) i mean i can flick an endura but it aint pm2..

never handled a benchmade with a hole.. more concerned with oval vs round and the chamfers really.

Too bad theres no stores here where i can check stuff out in person

I can't compare this to a pm2 as this is a stout blade with a bit more heft but the axis lock with the hole sure makes it fun to flip out. I have owned more than a few Spyderco's with zero chamfers around the hole that was literally sharp enough to cut me and this Benchmade does not have that issue.

Yeah.. doubts doubts.. i feel like the process of choosing a new knife has more joy to it than actually owning a knife

Oh yeah! To answer myself, I thought based on photos it was larger, actual size almost identical to mini presidio 2, which I love. Zero complaints on flicking action - after breaking in can flick open easily with any finger.

I loved the design first time I saw it. Im not too much into expensive sprint runs, but this one stand out i think.
There`s some thing I`ve noticed - it seem to be MUCH more comfortable in hand when the clip is on the left-hand side (im righty). This doesnt happend on my 575 minipresidio. I`ve had the same experience with para3. No problem with that though since after getting adamas a while ago im carrying all my knifes in the back pocket, so not a big deal for me.

Bumping an old thread but I picked up a Mini Loco a couple of days ago. It is one of the better built Benchmades I have and Axis and deployment are both better than any other I own or handled.
I was skeptical, I really didn’t know how I felt about the curved handle but it is extremely comfortable. Seems that they modified the tried and true reverse tanto and put more of their design focus on ergonomics.
It carries astonishingly well for its size. The oval doesn’t bother me but I prefer holes over thumb studs anyway. I will say it’s more comfortable than a Spyderco and opens just as well. 99% of the time I use the Axis lock and a flick to open all of their unassisted models anyway.
After carrying it for a few days It’s already becoming one of my favorites.
