I have yet another Mini Manix here in my shop, only this one is here for something that is a first for this model. Bead blasted aluminum clothes in 1/8" thickness. It will be interesting to see how much weight it loses with these scales over the G10 and stainless liners.

This one weighs in in stock condition at 5.4 ounces. I know from past experiences that it goes up to 5.7 to 5.8 ounces in .105 thick + or - ti and over 6 ounces easy in .125 titanium but for the first time I may actually get a pretty good reduction in weight.

I'll know later this week.

Thanks for looking.

Knocked this one out today. Big knives, nice as they are have one draw back usually and its weight. Spyderco did their homework here with the Manix and Mini Manix but it is still some weight on the pocket.

Even the 80mm Manix at 5.4 ounces is enough to notice easily and somewhat difficult for some to take to I guess. This one here in aluminum went from 5.4 ounces stock to a new weight of 4.5 ounces. So it lost just shy of a full ounce by moving to an aluminum handle in 1/8" thickness. Not too shabby.

Thanks for looking.

That one really looks great Steve. you are getting better and better -- those scales could be stock they are so well formed

Thanks. I got a little artistic with this one using the small wheel attatchment. Thought it needed some grippiness to it. This did wonders. It lost a tiny bit more weight doing it too so thats good. :D

You will have to excuse my shadow. The sun is behind me this time of day and to let it shine full blast on the folder made it too reflective and shiny to make out the details so I had to use my big head to give it some cover.

Whoa! Frankly, I dislike aluminium, but I'd give a chance to this one. Great work Steve, congratulations and thanks for sharing :)

I believe there is a saying which encapsulates the look of that Mini-Manix with the mega-modded scales. That phrase is:

oochie mama!

I used to dislike aluminium as well, dialex, but it just looks too classy and I catually like the way it feels in the hand now :D

Great job on this one, I would suggest removing the black paint from the clip and giving it a nice silver polish to complete the look

I agree this looks better. I was actually ahead of you though. I am just behind getting it posted.

Actually I was just getting ready to list it yes.

I bought a large BG42 Sebenza unexpectedly yesterday or I'd be keeping it.

I'll give you first dibs on it my friend.

Slatts turned it down. Its going up for sale here soon.
