Help! I managed to strip the pocket clip screws on my new mini-manix. Any suggestions?

Thanks,
Brett

As long as it's only the screws that are stripped give spyderco a call, there are also some online shops and supply houses that carry screws in that size. If you've managed to strip out the liner threads you'll either need to send it in for repair or if you're skilled you can always tap for a larger size.

They are standard 2-56 screws you can get from any of the suppliers like Jantz or Texas Knifemaker supply or even microfasteners.com also. As I recall you are in Oklahoma so just call Jantz since they are in Ok too not far from you and you will probably have them next day.

If I work on them I know them and usually inside and out my friend. Folders are my thing. I see all makes, all price ranges and all types pretty much daily these days. I've never been happier! :D

What length are they Steve?

It gives several options.

Thanks,

I had some loose benchmade screws and figured I could give it a shot. They fit perfectly. Problem solved.

THanks for your help,
B

BenchMade typically uses the same size screws in the USA made knives anyway. Spyderco Japanese knives and BM Taiwan made ones will sometimes have metric or off sizes from ours here.

1/4" is what I usually buy. Its fairly easy to reduce the length if you need but I also buy 1/2" when I find them because sometimes they need to be longer.

They make button head, flat head and socket head. On that knife it would be the button.
