Okay, I took the plunge and ordered my Mini-Talon this morning!!! The problem now is the waiting. Its gonna be a long, long 5 days or so.
The good side of the coin is that the Mini should get a ton of use once it arrives. I cant think of a handier size for 90% of my everyday chores. I always carry a big honking Sebenza in my pocket, but the truth is that its a lot bigger than I really ever need. Figure that I carried a slipjoint for 25 years, and it was usually big enough for any task at hand. The Mini has just about the same sized blade, but I wont have to worry about it closing up on me.
The only problem will be keeping the wife from making off with it. She has a tendency to run off with all my better knives, particularly my Camillus knives. I think she has more Camillus knives right now than I do!!! Im still bummed that she stole my YellowJacket muskrat. The blades on that knife are a great shape for cleaning trout. And since the Mini is impossible to rust, Im betting shell be wanting it for the kitchen. Shell have the most expensive paring knife in history
Again, many thanks to Will, Dexter and Owen. You guys helped push me over the brink of insanity.
