mini or full size manix

which do you think is a better edc knife the mini or the full sized manix please state you reasons why and if anyone has a new one for sale please let me knw
 
Based on EDC, for me, the Manix was too big to carry clipped into the pocket, but was fine in a pouch or a coat pocket. I prefer to carry smaller folders as my EDC as well, so I would say I'm biased. As for the mini, I've never owned one, so I can't really comment, I guess that would be more suited to clipped into your pocket carry. I think I saw one in the Exchange.

Both are large knives by most standards.

If you are carrying in your pocket, get the mini.

These are awesome knives.

I checked out both Manix sizes at a local store over the weekend. I think the Mini Manix is the one to get, hands down. It feels much better in the hand and it snaps open pronto. I love it! It's going onto my "must get" list.

I saw you also asking about the Para in another thread. I am very happy with mine. It's a scaled down Military with a much better lock. It's sharp, tough and there's no blade play on mine. Much lighter than the Mini Manix, but once you play with the Mini Manix you will know that you just have to get one :D
 
I have never seen the Manix but judging from my Mini-Manix, it's pretty BIG enough to EDC.

On the other hand, get both and post a review :D

I've done passarounds with both, and my preference is definitely towards the Mini. It's just as strong and tough, but a bit more compact.

I preferre the size and look of the Mini, but the full size has a slightly more comfortable feel in the hand due to the extended pinky shelf adding support.
 
yer this thread a bit old now but yea i went the mini manix bloody beatiful knife it just fits you hand to well got the feel of security and cut thru anyfink lad lol
 
I have pretty big hands, and I found the mini-manix far more filling in the hand than full sized folders such as my 710, endura, or military. Haven't held a full sized manix yet, if it's alot bigger in thickness/width of the handle it might almost be too big.
 
I handled the full-sized Manix a while ago in a store, and it is a HUGE knife. Definitely not sheeple-friendly. It was also difficult to open due to its size.

I recently bought a Mini and I am waiting for it to come from usps. I'll let you know if my opinion has changed based on what I get.
 
I've carried both. If you work in an environment where you can pack a knife of the mini-manix size, then you can also pack the Manix. I work in an office and don't carry either one there, but on the weekends around the house, in town or in the woods, the Manix is my hands down favorite. If you work outside in construction or whatever, then I don't think you can go wrong with either but you might as well have the larger one IMO.
