Mini-pentagon as a neck knife???

I guess the first question is the kydex sheath capapble of being carried this way? If not, I am not against custom sheathing it in something that would carry it well around the neck.

As far as everything else the knife offers, I think it is exactly what I am looking for. Only weighs 3oz., the sure grip of Kraton, a quality rust resistant steel, and most importantly, a dagger style blade with serrated top! :D And the price ain't bad neither~

It would be carried primarily as a back-up and as an emergency "right where you need it" knife when rafting/climbing etc.

You SOG experts tell me what you think?

Thanks~

Hi Jbetz,

Zero problems on inverted carry. It work really well. It's not too thin of a knife and sheath, so it will take up just a bit more space than some of the more slim-line neck knives on the market.

Let me know if you have further questions.

Thanks for that info Ron. Now, do any of you guys carry the mini this way?

Also, I can't seem to find a picture of the kydex sheath anywhere. Is it a tension style that just requires a deliberate tug or does knife release involve a button or any other tricky manuever that would hinder a rapid draw?

Thanks again!
