I was recently sent a gift of some incredible wrought iron that came from and old train car,and some of it was round bar,so this became my first project madefrom it.The head is 4 1/2 inches long and has a file steel bit forge welded for the cutting edge. The clean out plug is also wrought iron in the form of the top section of a square wrought iron nail.Haft is curly maple and the mouthpiece is walrus ivory,OAL is around 8 1/2 inches.
