I'm looking for a Benchmade with a blade less than 3 inches and narrowed it down to Mini Presidio and Sequel. Both are AXIS and have aluminum handles, though the Sequel is a bit thinner.

Any opinions on either knife?

Thanks. Lev

I just think the sequel looks better.... not tooo much help here. The 940 is great... I have one of those!

I also like the sequel. That is just a nice looking little pocket knife. I might get one myself.

The 707 Sequel is nice although those aluminum handle models from Benchmade tend to get scuffed up a bit in your pocket.

I found the Sequel to be a little too small. I prefer the 525.

..but prefer the 558 Mini RSK Mk1 to both of them.

 I agree. There's actually a good bit of difference between the thickness of the knives and their "feel" in my hand. The 707 was too small to be useful to me even with a 3" blade. It is very thin. The 525 is a great knife. I don't carry mine because I don't like aluminium handles, but the size and design of the 525 are outstanding.

And yes, I also prefer the mini-RSK to either the 707 or the 525. The Ritter blade profiles are my fav of any folder and I like BM's Noryl or FRN scales for their toughness.

Although the Mini Ritter is about the same length closed as the Sequel, I find that it feels better in use because of the very effective thumb ramp.
I also find that, because the thumb studs are out further from the handle when closed, that the Mini Ritter is easier to thumb open.
